Source: Statistics Poland (GUS), quarterly information on entities in the REGON register, table 1, by voivodeship, as of 30 June 2026 (PKD 2007: H 49–53). Entities without an assigned voivodeship are not shown. Official statistics, not the number of records in our database.
Section H of the PKD classification has five divisions: land and pipeline transport (49), water transport (50), air transport (51), warehousing and support activities for transport (52) and postal and courier activities (53).
Enquiries are almost always about one thing: road freight. It is the largest group and also highly fragmented – alongside firms with fleets of several hundred tractor units there are thousands of hauliers with one or two rigs working for larger forwarders.
Division 49, however, also contains passenger transport: coaches, minibuses and taxis. If you do not exclude them, you may get a list with more taxi drivers than haulage firms.
The REGON register lists 241,332 entities in this industry across Poland (GUS, as of 30 June 2026); the breakdown by voivodeship is in the table below. That is the size of the market, not the number of our records. Our own database (196,499 companies, as of 17 September 2026) is one of our sources and covers voivodeships unevenly, so the number of records for your selection is available on request – database status.
Classification
Section H kept its letter and divisions 49–53. Two changes matter for company lists. First, passenger transport: code 49.32 meant taxis in PKD 2007, but in PKD 2025 it means non-scheduled passenger transport; taxis now have 49.33. Second, freight forwarders got their own group 52.3 (intermediation in transport).
Left code: PKD 2007, right: PKD 2025. Source: GUS, Polish Classification of Activities PKD 2025. The codes describe the scope of the industry – they are not a promise of a filter: today’s records mostly carry the source category, and a PKD code only where one is available. Whether you can select by a specific code is confirmed before you order. More: PKD 2025 and company lists.
A haulier has vehicles and drivers. It buys fuel, tyres, insurance, telematics and servicing. A forwarder organises transport using other people’s vehicles – it buys access to freight exchanges, software and liability insurance. A warehouse operator invests in racking, forklifts and a warehouse management system. An offer that fits one is irrelevant to the other.
Codes help only partly, because many companies do everything at once and register the whole set. A harder criterion for hauliers is the licence to operate as a road haulier (Article 5 of the Polish Road Transport Act). The Act does not apply to goods transport with vehicles of up to 2.5 tonnes gross weight, nor – where the business carries out domestic transport only – up to 3.5 tonnes (Article 3). Businesses holding a licence are listed in the public KREPTD register.
The address in the export is the registered office or the address given in the source – not necessarily the warehouse or depot. Keep this in mind when selecting by county.
We offer a telematics system. We are looking for road hauliers (PKD 49.41.Z) and forwarders in the Łódź voivodeship, including the Łódź East and Zgierz counties. We do not want taxis, passenger transport or couriers. We plan postal mailings and meetings. Please send the number of records and the price.
This is a model enquiry, not a completed order. If you give us PKD codes, we will tell you how far they can be applied to our data – today the records mostly carry the source category.
Products sold to vehicle owners; the larger the fleet, the larger the contract.
Planning sales reps’ routes by the counties where hauliers are based.
Haulier’s liability insurance, fleet leasing and factoring are products renewed on a regular cycle.

Questions
No. Fleet size is not an export column. Information on a particular haulier’s licences and permits can be found in the public KREPTD register.
In the PKD classification road freight has code 49.41.Z, and passenger transport is group 49.3. Our records today mostly carry the source category, so we separate them by that and use the PKD code where one is available. Just say in your enquiry whom to exclude.
No. One record is one company with one address. We do not split networks of warehouses or field branches into locations.
Commercial information may be sent by email or phone only with the recipient’s prior consent (Article 398 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law; the provision does not distinguish between consumers and businesses) – the export does not include such consent. The data is meant for postal mail, preparing visits, CRM enrichment and market analysis. Details: B2B telemarketing and email in Poland after the change.
We will reply with the scope, price and data status.
