Data on Polish businesses: official statistics in figures
Tables calculated from official statistics that we use to describe the market: the GUS REGON register by voivodeship and industry, and Eurostat business statistics for the EU. Each overview gives the source, the reference date, definitions and a suggested citation.
GUS REGON as of 30 June 2026 · Eurostat 2024, retrieved 13 October 2026 · Page published: 13 October 2026
Official statistics, not our database. The figures describe the market, not the number of records we can deliver. Our own Polish database (196,499 records, as of 17.09.2026) is described on the database status page.
Calculated, not typed in. Shares, ranks and quotients are calculated from the source figures when the site is built; each page shows the check it runs against the source totals.
The two sources describe different populations. REGON counts registered entities including agriculture, associations and public bodies; Eurostat counts enterprises in industry, construction and market services. Their figures must not be compared directly.
No conclusions about causes. The overviews show how things stand. Why a region or industry differs, they do not explain.
How to cite
