According to PKD they are not – periodic roadworthiness tests count as technical testing and analysis (71.20.B in PKD 2007, 71.20.C in PKD 2025). Thematically, though, they fit, so on request we add them to the selection.

Everything that happens to a car after it leaves the factory was gathered by PKD 2007 in a single division, 45: sales of new and used vehicles, their repair and maintenance, trade in parts and accessories, and sale and repair of motorcycles.
Repair shops are the most numerous. The independent mechanic, tyre fitter, auto electrician, panel beater and painter are typical small businesses, often family-run and strongly tied to their location. There are few authorised dealerships, often owned by dealer groups; used car lots are numerous and change quickly.
Vehicle and parts manufacturers belong to manufacturing. Car rental firms, car washes, roadside assistance and petrol stations have codes in other divisions – they can be added on request.
The REGON register lists 151,027 entities in this industry across Poland (GUS, as of 30 June 2026); the breakdown by voivodeship is in the table below. That is the size of the market, not the number of our records. Our own database (196,499 companies, as of 17 September 2026) is one of our sources and covers voivodeships unevenly, so the number of records for your selection is available on request – database status.
Classification
Automotive is the industry that PKD 2025 took apart. Division 45 was abolished: trade in vehicles and parts went to the general wholesale (46) and retail (47) divisions, and repairs to division 95 in section T, next to repairs of computers and household appliances. A single “division 45” query now has to be replaced by a set of codes from three divisions.
Left code: PKD 2007, right: PKD 2025. Source: GUS, Polish Classification of Activities PKD 2025. The codes describe the scope of the industry – they are not a promise of a filter: today’s records mostly carry the source category, and a PKD code only where one is available. Whether you can select by a specific code is confirmed before you order. More: PKD 2025 and company lists.
A supplier of parts, oils or workshop equipment needs repair shops; dealerships are of no interest, because their sources of supply are imposed on them. A leasing company or insurer, in turn, is looking for car sellers. In PKD 2007 it was enough to separate groups 45.1 and 45.2; in our data we separate them by the category given in the source.
An authorised service centre differs from an independent one in its access to warranty customers and manufacturer standards, but it looks the same in the register. Authorisation is not in any public source; sometimes the company name gives it away.
A repair shop works locally, within a radius of a dozen or so kilometres. That is why a selection by county works best in this industry: it gives a list a sales rep can actually cover – in any voivodeship.
We distribute oils and workshop chemicals. We are looking for independent repair shops (PKD 45.20.Z) in the Wołomin, Legionowo and Mińsk Mazowiecki counties, with the workshop address. We do not want dealerships, used car lots or parts shops. Please send the number of records and the price.
This is a model enquiry, not a completed order. If you give us PKD codes, we will tell you how far they can be applied to our data – today the records mostly carry the source category.
Repeat sales to repair shops within a daily delivery route.
Lifts, diagnostic equipment, air-conditioning service units – capital purchases financed by leasing.
Building a network of partner repair shops for claims handling and company car servicing.
Collection of used oils, filters and tyres is a service repair shops need all the time.

Questions
According to PKD they are not – periodic roadworthiness tests count as technical testing and analysis (71.20.B in PKD 2007, 71.20.C in PKD 2025). Thematically, though, they fit, so on request we add them to the selection.
They have no code of their own: tyre repair falls under general vehicle repair, tyre sales under parts trade. We select by name and source category, which gives good but incomplete coverage.
Because many companies set up before 2025 still have PKD 2007 codes in their entry – these may be used until 31 December 2026 at the latest. A good enquiry gives both sets of codes.
Commercial information may be sent by email or phone only with the recipient’s prior consent (Article 398 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law; the provision does not distinguish between consumers and businesses) – the export does not include such consent.
